Staff Volunteers

If you are someone concerned about the future of African-American and Hispanic youth in the Monmouth County, New Jersey area read on ...

PACE (Program for Acceleration in Careers of Engineering) is a science and engineering awareness program in which professionals donate their time to work with African-American and Hispanic high school students to help prepare them for college and technical careers. PACE - Monmouth is in need of new volunteer staff.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Teach high school level math and engineering classes
  • Mentor students
  • Help run math and science competitions
  • Help plan and carry out program events such as college tours, engineering field trips, and cultural celebrations
  • Help generate new and creative ideas on how to make student learning more meaningful, fun, and engaging
  • Help identify funding sources and solicit grants

Your commitment can be as little as teaching twice a month or getting involved solely as a mentor, to as much as helping to plan trips, events, and other program activities.
